Where should I park to visit the Library?

Answer

Payson Library:

The closest parking lot is the Seaver Main Lot/Central Campus Parking (Parking Lot B). Other options include Chapel Lot C and the Theme Tower Parking Lot (Parking Lot A). During busy times, the Theme Tower Lot usually has more openings than the Main Lot and Chapel Lot. Visitors need to stop by the Public Safety Booth for a visitors pass and a parking token. See Malibu campus map.

Drescher Campus Library:

Parking is open and free in Parking Lot S (Center for Learning Technology Lot). Visitors need to stop by the Public Safety Booth for a visitors pass and a parking token. See Malibu campus map.

Calabasas Campus Library:

Parking is open and free and passes are not required.

West LA Campus Library:

Enter the parking structure from Park Terrace Drive.

Student parking passes, or key cards, are available from the parking office in the parking structure for a fee of $65.00 per semester (plus a $15.00 administrative fee for new key cards or for reinstating unpaid accounts. The key card may be renewed each following term with no further administrative fee, as long as the student keeps the same card.) This key card permits electronic entry/exit from the parking structure. It provides unlimited parking from 2:45 p.m to 11:30 p.m. on weekdays, and 6:45 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekends and holidays. Parking passes not renewed within five (5) days of the start of the term will be deactivated and the student will be charged a $10.00 late fee.

Download the PDF request form by selecting: Student Parking Key Card Request. Follow all instructions on the form. Refunds will not be issued for parking pass cancellations.

Students or visitors not possessing a key card should take a ticket from the gate. This ticket should be stamped in the Valometer available in Suite 200 at the West Los Angeles Graduate Campus Office (open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) The ticket must be stamped to qualify for the student parking rate. Students may park in unreserved spaces only. Unauthorized cars parked in reserved spaces are subject to towaway on a 24-hour basis.

Irvine Campus Library:

Parking is provided in the adjacent 6 level structure.

Regular students (taking one or more courses per term) will be charged a $65.00 facilities fee to their student accounts each term. This includes unlimited parking from 3:00 p.m. to closing, Monday through Friday, all day Saturday and Sunday.

Parking structure gates will be down 24/7. No attendants will be on duty. Students must obtain a ticket and bring the ticket to Suite 209 for validation. Tickets will be validated between 3 and 7 p.m. A lost ticket will cost the student $14.00 upon exiting. Parking rates: 1-30 minutes $1.75, additional with $1.75 every half hour and a daily maximum of $14.00.
